Good question. I do not know the answer. The discovery of the E. coli plasmids in the vials is new and how the plasmids react in the human body, to my knowledge, is not known. We know the mRNA is potentially transferable to the gut but the effect seems to be limited explaining the interest in developing mucosal mRNA therapeutics.
